Ecology of Information
My research program focuses on the ecology of information, which provides an overarching theme for past and current research projects as well as the future direction of my lab. I am currently pushing the development (see special feature in the February 2010 issue of Oikos) of the field of the ecology of information as a major synthetic discipline in the fields of behavior, ecology, and evolution. My research pursues a comprehensive application of the framework from a mechanistic and behavioral level through population dynamics and community structure set within an evolutionary context. With this aim, I have an active research program in two broad areas: breeding habitat selection and heterospecific information transfer within predator-prey interactions.
